I was always wondering what my kitchen would look like when I would be a grown up after watching something on tv about Disney and the kitchen of the future but now that i’m actually in this so called future I must say that i’m very disappointed.
Sure we have ceramic stove top now but where are the radio controlled service robots, the automatic food processing counter top or the space laser powered microwaves ?
But why was it not invented ? Because there was not enough people willing to buy, no real motives to create such awesomeness and because our scientist have become very dull as of late. Seriously, look at what these people think we want for our future…
Modular shelves that are guaranteed to break or become defective one after another in a record amount of time since there’s a lot of gadgets combined into one ( We know what usually happen to those ).
A wardrobe that cleans clothing so you can clean the clothes that you never want to wear and keep in your wardrobe for far too long. Pure genius.
A silly putty refrigerator that kids and pets are never going to toy with… ever ! Can you picture what being a parent with this kind of appliance inside the house would look like. “What did daddy told you about body slamming the refrigerator door last day ?”
A portable cooking device so that you can cook meals while watching your favorite TV show… in the restroom. You could also move the television set into the kitchen but that’s what the poor people do.
The dismount washer is actually kind of cool but I don’t know if it really wash clothes well… I heard it does so I guess I will have to try it myself.
Some helmet that only requires you to think about what you want to eat and it brings it to your door. The challenge is no longer cooking but rather trying to think about something else other than pizza.
And last but not least, a dishwasher that actually wash your kitchenware with leftover crap instead of water if you ate your food in the form of pills… why didn’t I thought of that ?
